BioWare and EA’s online multiplayer sci-fi shooter has been in the spotlight for quite some time.
Considered an answer to Bungie’s Destiny, Anthem brings us an immense sci-fi universe.
The story takes place in a world that the Gods left unfinished. There, the omnipresent power of the Anthem, the source of creation gone chaotic, and the instruments of the gods, are in eternal struggle.

2. Resident Evil 2
One of the most awaited remakes of all time, Resident Evil 2 promises to amaze. Capcom’s new title is the survival horror classic that we are all familiar with.
Remember Claire Redfield and Leon Scott Kennedy? In Resident Evil 2, they fight for survival amidst a mysterious virus outbreak in Raccoon City. Everything has been rebuilt in detail: from characters and environment to the story itself. They have created, according to the official website, “a terrifying world that feels both nostalgic and new”. An immersive camera, heart-racing zombie characterization and a tense narrative will glue you to the screen in a horror roller-coaster.
If the 1998 game was already considered a masterpiece, you can probably imagine what 20 years of improvement have done for Resident Evil. This powerful and horrifying title is definitely one of the biggest game releases of 2019. Ready for some claustrophobic scares?

3. Kingdom Hearts 3
One of the most highly acclaimed fantasy franchises around, the name Kingdom Hearts 3 certainly rings a bell. The popular Disney/Pixar crossover has collected a solid fanbase over the years.
The heartwarming and nostalgic saga tells us the story of friendship. Sora, the main character, is accompanied by Donald Duck and Goofy on an adventure to stop evil. In their journey to save the universe, our Disney friends meet with other iconic characters. The new sequel of the saga will feature characters from films such as Frozen and Wreck-It-Ralph. Square Enix has been delaying the game for some time, but it appears this is it.

4. Far Cry New Dawn
Another one of 2019’s great game releases, Far Cry New Dawn is the FPS sequel we’ve been waiting for.

5. Jump Force
If you’re an anime fan, you must be counting the days until Jump Force‘s release!
Bandai Namco’s new action game is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Shonen Jump, the widely popular manga magazine. The dimension of this crossover fighter makes Jump Force one of the most expected game releases of 2019.
In an unprecedented combo, the most famous manga heroes and villains join forces to fight for the fate of humanity. The Real World and Jump World merge in this epic and realistic fighting game. The title counts with iconic characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, My Hero Academia and Rurouni Kenshin. Jump Force will be a 3v3 brawler with some unusual features, such as third-person perspective and one health bar for the whole party.
Fans don’t have to wait long now: Jump Force will be out on February 15th of 2019, for PS4, XBO and PC.
6. Metro: Exodus
Metro: Exodus will be the third game release of the franchise by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games. The Metro series is based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s post-apocalyptic novels. While the previous game titles didn’t get any achievements for noticeability, the upcoming survival shooter Exodus promises to go higher.
In this chapter of the series, you play as Artyom, the protagonist. You find yourself in the ravaged remains of the Russian frontier, scavenging for supplies and fighting for survival. Radioactive mutated beasts such as rats and bears get in your way through survival in the nuclear winter. The scenarios, which include ruins and underground tunnels are desolating and yet amazingly designed. You can also count on the unique firearms the Metro series got us used to. Besides mechanically functional and customizable, in this title the weapons need maintenance – yet another immersive trait.
The post-apocalyptic FPS will be available by the 15th of February. It will be available for PS4, XBO, and PC. Recently, Epic Games and Deep Silver announced a partnership that will bring Metro: Exodus‘ PC version to Epic Games Store.
