Call of Duty Mobile Beta to Open Soon

The long-promised mobile version of the popular first-person shooter is almost here. Call of Duty: Mobile has no release date yet, but Activision announced that the beta will be opened soon. Read on to find out what we know so far and how to sign up for beta access!

The Mobile Version We’ve Been Waiting For

When Will It Be Released And for What Devices?

While they haven’t set a release date yet, Activision recently said that the game will start a beta test soon. Call of Duty: Mobile will be available for both Android and iOS.

Activision and Tencent started testing the Android mobile version last year and announced the beta test last month at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019 in San Francisco.

What Changes And What Doesn’t In Call of Duty Mobile?

The best of it is that this version will offer the original CoD experience. While Activision had already released some versions for mobile devices before, none of them was close to the gameplay and performance available on PC and consoles. Call of Duty: Mobile, however, will inherit performance similarities from at least the PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware.

CoD: Mobile will focus on competitive multiplayer matches. Besides the Free-for-All, we can expect modes such as Team Deathmatch and Search-and-Destroy. Activision promises exceptional environments, incredible actions and intense competitive combats.

The mobile version will be free to play with free updates, which got us particularly excited. However, we still don’t know if the game will include internal monetized features, such as Fortnite or PUBG MOBILE.

You will be able to play in some well known-maps and with familiar weaponry from versions such as Black Ops and Modern Warfare. Among the maps are, for instance, Nuketown, Hijacked and Crash, optimised for the mobile version. Familiar characters will also be available, as players will be able to choose special ops “Ghosts” or even Captain Price.
